Natalie Roberts

Natalie is 37 and graduated in medicine from Cambridge and Imperial College, London. She trained for four years as a surgeon in Plymouth before switching to Emergency Medicine, working in the Bristol region. In 2011 she completed a diploma in tropical medicine at Liverpool, then joined MSF. She went on her first mission with MSF to the Philippines in January 2012, fully intending to return to the NHS after a few months. Since then she has worked full time for MSF as an emergency doctor and emergency coordinator in natural disasters, conflicts and displacement crises in the Philippines, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Central African Republic, Yemen, East Ukraine and Syria. In 2016 she has been worked as MSF UK’s advisor on refugees and migration while studying for an MSc in Violence, Conflict and Development at SOAS, before moving to Paris to help manage MSF’s emergency field operations.
